Dina Bonevie’s husband, Department of Agriculture Undersecretary and former Ilocos Sur governor Deogracias Victor “DV” Savellano, has passed away due to abdominal aneurysm. He was 65 years old.
In a social media post, the National Tobacco Administration (NTA) announced the passing of Savellano on Tuesday, January 7, 2025.
The government agency paid tribute as they mourn the passing of Savellano who formerly served as Ilocos Sur governor, Deputy House Speaker and Representative of the 1st District of Ilocos Sur, Undersecretary for Livestock at the Department of Agriculture, and oversaw the NTA Governing Board.
“His contributions to uplifting farmers’ lives and his legacy of leadership will always be remembered. The NTA extends its heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, and colleagues,” wrote NTA in a Facebook post.
Dina Bonevie also confirmed her husband’s passing through TV host and talent manager Boy Abunda.
“Sabi nga po ni Dina, si DV po succumbed to abdominal aneursym. Dina, you have our love and we will continue praying,” Abunda offered his condolences in his show “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda.”
