The Parade of Stars for the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) is officially happening this Saturday, Dec. 21, at 3 p.m, covering a 12 kilometer-route over two and a half hours.
MMDA chairman and concurrent execom chairman Atty. Romando Artes announced in a presscon that the opening ceremony will be held at the Kartilya ng Katipunan near Manila City Hall, where the stars, directors and producers participating in the parade will have a group photo.
The order of floats in the parade is as follows: The Kingdom, Topakk, Uninvited, Isang Himala, Hold Me Close, Espantaho, My Future You, And The Breadwinner Is…, Green Bones and Strange Frequencies: Taiwan Killer Hospital.
The parade will start from Natividad Lopez Street to Jones Bridge and pass through major thoroughfares such as Recto Avenue, Abad Santos Avenue to Lacson Avenue, CM Recto Avenue, Taft Avenue, Roxas Boulevard until it ends at Manila Central Post Office.
Meanwhile, the MMFF’s annual Gabi ng Parangal will commence on December 27 for its golden year themed “Sinesigela sa Singkwenta.”
