The Philippine STAR’s resident cat, Kwek-kwek, has passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning due to old age.
Kwek-kwek, a stray cat adopted by the Philippine STAR in 2017 at their former office in Port Area, Manila, became an endearing part of the publication’s family.
When the STAR moved to its new headquarters in Parañaque, Kwek-kwek’s well-being was a significant consideration.
In preparation for the move, Kwek-kwek was brought to The Cat Clinic in Alabang on November of last year, where an X-ray revealed his critical health condition.
Despite the challenges of caring for a cat with a sensitive condition, the employees wholeheartedly welcomed him into the new office.
Kwek-kwek’s presence brought joy and comfort to everyone at the STAR, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
He was honored for the last time through a private ceremony, which was followed by a cremation at the Golden Haven Pet Crematorium in Las Piñas.
Run free, Kweky.
