“Hanggang sa muli, Chris Tsuper!”

The iconic radio duo of Nicole Hyala and Chris Tsuper from 90.7 Love Radio has come to an end after a two-decade on-air partnership.

Chris, whose real name is Adrian Policena, officially announced his departure from their popular program, “Hey! Tambalan Na!” on Friday, marking his last day on air as he prepares to run for a council seat in Lucban, Quezon in the upcoming May 2025 elections.

The farewell broadcast was an emotional moment for both the hosts and their loyal audience as many fans expressed sadness at the dissolution of one of the most beloved radio tandems in the country.

During the final episode, Chris reflected on his 20-year journey with Nicole, or Emmylou Gaite-Tiñana in real life, as they shared heartfelt messages with each other with their fans listening on the other side of the line.

And I always say this and I will say it again, walang Nicole Hyala kung walang Chris Tsuper,” she added.

“Kasi partner, kalahati ng life ko, kasama kita, kahit on-air lang yung relationship. […] Honestly, hindi ako ready. Paano ba yon? Paano bang mag-let go ng twenty years?” Nicole remarked.

Chris, equally emotional, expressed his deep appreciation for their long-time partnership.

“Really incredible kind of relationship […] Hindi siya basta-basta puwedeng i-let go talaga. Time heals all wounds,” he lamented about their separation.

Chris continued, “Oras ang makapagsasabi kung matatanggap natin na, ‘Oo nga ‘no, meron din palang sariling buhay si Chris, meron din palang sariling buhay si Nicole Hyala.

“Yung twenty years na yon, of course, I will cherish that forever. Hindi biro yung pagtalikod sa ganitong klase ng relationship. Yung twenty years is a testament to a healthy working relationship and bibihira yung ganoong klase ng relasyon sa isang trabaho,” he described his partnership with Nicole.

“Magkaibang-magkaiba tayo ng ugali. Magkaiba tayo ng mindset pero natanggap natin yung isa’t isa, and it speaks volume of knowing each other.

“Grabe, natanggap ko si Nicole Hyala. Grabe si Nicole Hyala, natanggap yung ugali ni Chris Tsuper,” remarked Chris, “Completely different yung behavior and mindset namin, but once we turn on the microphone, we understand each other. And that is something inexplicable up until now, for the two of us.

“Yung ganitong klase ng relationship, mawala man tayo sa radyo, but for sure, sa personal na buhay ko, dala-dala ko yon until my last breath.”
