Showbiz personalities Marco Gumabao, Enzo Pineda, and It’s Showtime host Ion Perez are eyeing to join the government sa they filed their candidacies for the midterm elections in 2025.
Marco is seeking a seat in Camarines Sur’s 4th district as he officially filed his certificate of candidacy at the Commission of Elections’ provincial office in Pili, Camarines Sur on Tuesday.
The actor took to Instagram to announce the start of his “new journey,” alongside photos with girlfriend Cristine Reyes who expressed support for the actor.
“Para sa’kin, simula ‘to ng isang malaking yugto sa aking buhay. Panibagong simula na sigurado ako makaka gawa ng malaking epekto hindi lang para sa sarili ko, kundi sa buong 4th district ng CamSur,” said Marco.
Enzo, meanwhile, filed his bid for councilor in Quezon City’s 5th district. The actor was joined by his girlfriend, Michelle Vito, and his mom on the first day of COC filing on Tuesday.
Ion Perez, on the other hand, is also vying for the councilor seat in Concepcion, Tarlac and was earlier sworn as a member of the New People Coalition on Tuesday.
