Chloe San Jose made some screenshots as her “last” response to criticisms and claims that she disrespected her athlete boyfriend Carlos Yulo’s family.
The word war between Chloe and Carlos’ family recently progressed after the Paris 2024 Olympic gold medalist’s father Mark Andrew Yulo asked his son to offer his apologies to his own mom, Angelica Yulo, for calling her a “thief.”
Mark made the comment under Carlos’ social media post about his return to Paris for the Paralympics event.
“Masaya ako sa narating mo ‘nak pero dapat mag sorry ka sa nanay mo na sinabihan mong magnanakaw para luminis yang imahen mo,” said Mark.
Chloe, however, was the one who responded to the comment, claiming that Carlos’ mother was the one who spoke ill of him before he competed at the Paris Olympics 2024.
“Sinabi pa po niya na kahit ilang rosaryo pa ang ipadala niya kay Caloy ay hinding hindi na po mananalo si Caloy,” wrote Chloe.
Chloe assumed that it wasn’t Carlos’ father who made the comment as Carlos shared that his father wished him well for the competition.
“Sinabihan niyo po siyang galingan niya at ipagdarasal niyo po siya para pag nanalo po siya eh wala na silang masabi po jan sa bahay.”
She continued, “Dahil ang sabi niyo po kay Caloy ay marami po kayong naririnig na hindi magagandang salita sa kanila.”
Mark replied back confirming that it was him who commented, in hopes of putting an end to Carlos’ strained relationship with his family.
The Yulo patriarch went on to say in subsequent comments that he tried reaching out to Carlos and Chloe but the two would not pick up his calls.
The family drama then took another turn after Carlos’ father reposted screenshots uploaded by a close family friend to reveal Chloe’s alleged misbehavior towards Carlos’ mom through a group chat involving Chloe, and some of her and Carlos family members.
In one of the screenshots provided, Chloe tagged Carlos’ mom as a coward after leaving the group chat and refusing to face the former despite her allegedly demeaning social media posts alluding to Chloe.
The uploader accused Chloe was the one who ruined Carlos’ relationship with his family and became distant with each other.
Chloe, likewise, hit back with her own receipts, showing screenshots of Carlos’ mom’s degrading social media posts and comments seemingly alluding to her.
Chloe remarked that she and Carlos tried to reach out to his mom to patch things up only to be dismissed by the latter.
“We were trying to talk to her to fix the issue and yet she thinks it’s just a waste of time to address it. She really didn’t want to fix anything at all, we added her back in and again, she left,” Chloe said, referring to the group chat.
“After she left, she kept posting degrading comments towards me on her FB wall and stopped replying to us when we were still trying to communicate, which now explains the frustration sa replies ko, as she was not replying and yet has so much time to talk down on me and other members of my family on her wall,” Chloe further defended her remarks to Carlos’ mom.
She further shared that her mom had a personal talk with Carlos’ mom “to stop posting about me…however she still kept defaming me on her posts,” said Chloe.
“Now tell me we don’t have the right to react to this kind of behaviour,” she added.
“If you’re gonna post screenshots of messages, make sure it’s in the right order. don’t just post it and make the others look bad, when in the first place you started all this and we just responded,” she furthered.
Further replying in the comments, Chloe claimed that she and Carlos tried making it up to the latter’s family by paying them visits on holidays but the athlete’s mom would seemingly try to avoid any interactions with them.
Chloe stressed that this would be her last time responding to such matters on social media, as it’s “getting boring and over dramatic at this point, as it’s been a long gone issue.”
“If you’re gonna get mad at me for standing up for myself, stay mad. if you’re gonna get mad at me for breaking generational curse, stay mad. If you’re gonna get mad at me because i reacted to their disrespect and told the truth, stay mad. if you’re gonna get mad at me for standing up for my partner against their toxicity, then stay mad.”
