Colet of P-pop girl group BINI has been honored with a plaque of recognition by the local government of Tagbilaran City in Bohol for her dedication to music.

The award ceremony took place last Monday, July 1, during the 58th Tagbilaran City Charter Day Anniversary, which was live-streamed on the official Facebook page of Tagbilaran City Mayor Jane Yap.

Yap presented the Plaque of Recognition to Maria Nicolette F. Vergara, better known as one of the eight members of P-pop sensation, BINI, “Colet.”

“Ms. Maria Nicolette Vergara, a member of Filipino girl group BINI, whose dedication to music [has] not only entertained audiences but also inspired pride and admiration among Tagbilaranos,” the host described the artist.

Colet’s parents received the award on her behalf due to the P-pop idol’s prior schedules in Manila.

“Ms. Vergara is currently in Manila after performing three nights of sold-out concerts. To receive the award on her behalf, her parents, Ms. Arnulfo Vergara and Mrs. Maria Regina Vergara,” the announcer stated.

BINI recently announced their upcoming concert which will take place in a bigger venue at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on October 4, 2024. The announcement came after the group concluded their successful three-day concert, “Grand BINIverse,” at the New Frontier Theater.

They were the first-ever P-pop girl group to hold three consecutive sold-out events at the venue.
