Carlo Aquino and Charlie Dizon have officially tied the knot!
A source close to the couple simply answered “yes” when asked by The Philippine STAR if the two Kapamilya stars had gotten married this afternoon.
According to ABS-CBN News’ report, Carlo and Charlie exchanged wedding vows in a secret ceremony at a private resort in Silang, Cavite.
Some of the principal sponsors in the wedding included ABS-CBN CEO and president Carlo Katigbak, COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN Board of Directors member Charo Santos-Concio, Maricel Soriano, Olivia Lamasan, Vilma Santos-Recto, Veronique del Rosario-Corpuz of Viva, Star Magic Head Laurenti Dyogi, Senator Bong Revilla and his wife, Cong. Lani Mercado, the news outlet further reported.
Fellow actresses Sue Ramirez served as the maid of honor, while Belle Mariano, Kaila Estrada, and Adrian Lindayag were the bridesmaids. Ketchup Eusebio and Ramon Bautista were groomsmen.
Loisa Andalio was the candle bearer, Elisse Joson carried the veil, and Alexa Ilacad brought the cord.
The celebrity couple earlier sparked wedding speculations after posting their romantic photos on Instagram which were believed to be prenup photos.
A significant hint fueling the rumors was Carlo’s heartfelt Instagram post featuring a photo of him and Charlie holding hands by a lake, accompanied by a sweet message.
“Unti unti natin gagapangin ang buhay ng nakatawa @charliedizon_,” the actor penned to his partner.
To this, Charlie replied with an “I love you,” accompanied by heart and teary-eyed emojis.
Another hint was the recent arrival of Charlie’s parents from Los Angeles, California, which the actress revealed during an interview with the press.
In an interview with veteran showbiz columnist Gorgy Rula at the 47th Gawad Urian Awards on Saturday, June 8, where Charlie was named Best Actress for her role in “Third World Romance, ” her 2023 rom-com film with Carlo, she did not directly address questions about the wedding.
When directly asked if the award was the “best wedding gift” for her, Charlie cheerfully replied, “Abangan niyo po! Ang masasabi ko lang, best gift siya. Kaya thank you, Lord!”
In her acceptance speech, Charlie mentioned that her family from America is currently here. When asked why her parents had returned to the Philippines, she simply replied, “Dahil gusto po nila.”
Previously, fans noticed a ring on Charlie’s finger at various events, sparking engagement rumors, which Carlo had denied at the time.
