“Ako po si Ejay Falcon, proud kargador.”
Ejay Falcon took a moment to reflect on his humble beginnings as a copra porter.
On Friday, May 31, the actor-turned-politician recalled on Facebook his efforts to make a living in the province, including taking on the job of being a “kargador.”
In his post, the former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) big winner recounted an emotional encounter at a birthday party he attended.
Tuwang tuwa po kami pareho,” Ejay further described his heartfelt reunion with the person who witnessed his days as a stevedore and porter.
He expressed his gratitude to her, saying, “Maraming salamat po, Nanay Nene, sa iyong mga banana cue na alam ko ‘yun ang isa sa nagpalakas ng aking katawan habang buhat ang copra at mga uling.”
Ejay ended his post with a proud acknowledgment of his roots (published as is), “Ako po si Ejay L. Falcon – Proud Kargador.”
Ejay now serves as a vice governor in Oriental Mindoro, where he was also born and raised. He is married to former actress Jana Roxas.
Ejay entered the world of showbiz through the Kapamilya reality show “PBB: Teen Edition Plus” in 2008, alongside celebrities Robi Domingo and Beauty Gonzalez. He was hailed as the big winner.
