K-pop boy band SEVENTEEN’s “FML” has been named as the best selling album worldwide for 2023.

As announced by the International Federation for Phonographic Industry (IFPI), FML, the group’s 10th mini album released in April 2023, topped the IFPI Top 10 Global Album Chart which determines an album’s worldwide sales across streaming, download and physical music formats.

SEVENTEEN’s 11th mini album, Seventeenth Heaven, also entered the list at the No. 8 spot.

“The global appeal of K-Pop continues to extend and S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Migyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon and Dino continue to push the boundaries with their concepts, performances and talent,” IFPI Director of Global Charts & Certifications Lewis Morrison said in a statement.

“FML and SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN were both huge hits across continents and our congratulations go to the group, their team and of course CARATs all over the world!,” he added, while referring to the group’s fanbase.

Fellow K-pop acts Stray Kids, also claimed two spots with 5-STAR and ROCK-STAR albums at No. 2 and No. 9, respectively, and NCT Dream’s ISTJ at No. 6.

Taylor Swift’s Midnights and 1989 (Taylor’s Version) came in at No. 4 and 5, while Morgan Wallen, SZA, and Travis Scott’s records took the remaining three spots at No.3, No.7, and No. 10, respectively.

SEVENTEEN last visited the country last January for their Follow To Bulacan Tour at the Philippine Sports Stadium.
