Michelle Dee on ‘inseparable’ closeness with Miss Thailand Anntonia Porsild: ‘We have so much in common’

Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee opened up about her friendship with fellow candidate Anntonia Porsild in a recent interview.

Dee landed at NAIA Terminal on Saturday, Nov. 25, a week following her participation in the Miss Universe 2023 coronation night held in El Salvador. The beauty queen concluded her stint in the national pageant as one of the Top 10 finalists.

Michelle also received a warm welcome during her TV guesting on GMA Network’s morning show, Unang Hirit on Monday.

Among the questions presented to the PH bet was her closeness with her fellow candidate, Miss Universe 2023 first runner-up Anntonia Porsild.

Despite the supposed competition between the two, both flexed their friendship with their sweet interactions which trended online, creating their own pairing name, #PorDee.

“Before arriving to El Salvador, of course alam naman natin, Thailand and the Philippines are both powerhouse countries in terms of pageantry and malakas talaga ang support system,” Michelle explained.

She continued, “Hindi kami naging close kaagad. We were assigned to different tourist destinations. Hindi kami nagsama talaga until rehearsals and then we realized na parang we have so much in common.”

“We really jibe in terms of our sarcasm or humor, super kalog din kami,” Dee described their dynamics.

“Pero we took a photo for the first time, not expecting us to be linked together. Kasi our intention naman talaga was to show our fans na Philippines and Thailand are good friends. Tama na yung mga away-away,” she said, addressing the rift between their fans and supporters.

“When we became close, medyo naging inseparable talaga kami,” she shared.

Michelle also shared the possibility of her and Anntonia visiting each others’ respective countries.

In another interview with entertainment journalist MJ Marfori, Dee also teased an upcoming project with the Thai beauty queen.

“May mga things na nakalatag din, abangan ninyo po,” she said.

When asked if it’s a collaboration, Michelle replied, “We’ll see.”

“May news kaming natanggap pagkauwi namin so abangan ninyo na lang,” she added.
