The younger half-brother of Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee, Abraham Lawyer, captured the hearts of many netizens after he accompanied his beauty queen sister in her recent TV guesting.
Abraham, or Abe for short, became a hot topic on social media after his brief appearance with Michelle at the GMA talk show, Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, last Monday, Nov. 27.
With his charisma and good looks, the 20-year-old model was regarded to have what it takes to become a celebrity.
In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN News, Abe shared his thoughts about taking on a showbiz career.
“Showbiz, that’s not my thing. I’m gonna be honest with you. I’ll try it, it doesn’t hurt to try, explore, but modeling and going on the runway, and doing photoshoots that seem to be a lot more of my liking.”
“When it comes to male pageantry, that one, I’m not gonna do it,” he shook his head at the idea.
“But showbiz,” he added with a nod, “don’t expect that closing anytime soon.”
Abe is Melanie Marquez’s youngest son with Randy “Adam” Lawyer. Michelle is Melanie’s daughter with businessman Frederick Dee.
According to a report by The Philippine STAR, Abe has been modeling since he was a teenager and at the height of 6-foot-5, is also a professional tennis player who has competed in local and international tournaments.
He also served as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Chile and is currently finishing his mission.
After his last visit to the Philippines in 2019, Abe is temporarily staying in the country and is planning to return to the US early next year to pursue a Marketing course at a private institution.
