Rita Gaviola is tying the knot soon with her non-showbiz boyfriend Jeric Ong.
The former Pinoy Big Brother housemate revealed taking their relationship to the next level, with a photo of their engagement in an Instagram post.
“This is it [ring, bride, emoji],” Rita captioned the photo that showed her beau kneeling on one knee.
Rita and Jeric share a daughter together named Kianna whom they welcomed in July 2022.
Rita, known for her moniker “Badjao Girl” went viral after photos of begging for alms in Lucban, Quezon circulated on social media while her natural beauty caught the attention of netizens.
During a recent TikTok live, Rita called out netizens who made fun of her being an indigenous person and her struggles in the past.
“Nilalait niyo ko? Babalik ako sa pamamalimos? Kahit bumalik ako sa pamamalimos ko, proud ako na naghirap ako. Dumaan ako sa [ganoong] proseso,” Rita addressed her bashers online.
She separately added in a Facebook post, “I’m proud to say na yes I’m ’Badjao native’ so what’s wrong dahil tagalog kayo my god crab mentality dahil lang sa native ako sasabihan ako ng bumalik sa panlilimos and so what if bumalik ako sa part na yon ang mahirap is kayo ang makaranas ng hindi niyo naranasan baka hindi niyo kayanin.”
