Badjao Girl hits back at bashers during live selling session: ‘Palibhasa kasi hindi nila nararanasan ‘yung hirap ko mamalimos’

-

Rita Gaviola, popularly known as “Badjao Girl”, called out her bashers during her live selling session after they made fun of her being an indigenous person and her struggles in the past.

A TikTok user shared a recording of Gaviola’s live selling session on the same platform where she can be seen promoting beauty products.

Ang bad nyoo!,” read the uploader’s caption.

In the video, the online seller appeared to be teary-eyed as she spoke to her viewers before mentioning those who have been leaving negative comments about her.

Gaviola returned the ill sentiments to the bashers and told them to leave the chat room instead and to stop being judgemental, reiterating that she is not ashamed of being Badjao and takes pride in being one.

Rita agreed to some of her viewers who defended her from the bashers, “Yes, palibhasa kasi guys hindi nila naranasan mamalimos sa kalsada.

Meanwhile, other users extended their encouraging comments to Rita to ignore the haters and keep going with her business.

Go rita.. Wag mo sila pansinin..”, a user said.

“Tama proud ako sayo more blessings sayo Rita go lang wag muna pagpapatulan mga haters Wala kang mapapala sa kanila ❤️,” commented another.

The TikTok post has garnered over 1 million views and exceeded 25,000 likes.

Rita gained her title as “Badjao Girl” after her photos taken by a photographer during the Pahiyas Festival in Lucban, Quezon went viral in May 2016. She recently graduated from Senior High School last May.
