Viral drag queen Pura Luka Vega was arrested by the Manila Police District on Wednesday.
According to the police report, the former Drag Den Philippines contestant was arrested for charges of immoral doctrines obscene publications and exhibitions and indecent shows in relation to section 6 of the Republic Act No. 10175
Pura Luka or Amadeus Fernando Pagente in real life, was arrested at their residence in Sta. Cruz Manila on Wednesday afternoon.
The warrant of arrest issued by the Manila Regional Trial Court set a recommended P72,000 bail for Pura Luka’s temporary release.
Pura Luka faced controversy over her impersonation of Jesus in a viral “Ama Namin” drag performance back in July.
The drag queen was also declared persona non grata in several localities such as Manila, Bukidnon, Palawan and Bohol.
