Did Bretman Rock just throw shade at Vanessa Hudgens being the Philippines’ global tourism ambassador?
Bretman is back in the country and has been updating Instagram followers about his Palawan getaway.
“It’s always gonna be more fun in the Philippines,” said the Hawaii-based Filipino American internet sensation who enjoyed boat driving, snorkeling, paddle boarding and kayaking during his vacation.
The 25-year-old Ilocano also can’t help feeling nostalgic while going island hopping.
“Only if that little kid who grew up in Sanchez Mira Cagayan knew he would have everything he ever dreamt of one day. It’s so hard not to feel proud of that little brown boy when I’m home,” he wrote as caption in his beach photos.
While most Pinoy netizens were amused of Bretman making the most out of his time back home, some once again brought up how he’s suitable as the Philippines’ global tourism ambassador, a title earlier conferred to Filipino-American actress Vanessa Hudgens.
“Why are you not the Philippines ambassador again?,” commented a netizen.
“Don’t get me wrong, I like Vanessa Hudgens but Bretman Rock should’ve been the Global Tourism Ambassador to promote the Philippines,” wrote another.
“Vanessea Hudgens is shaking [fire emojis],” a third commenter said to which Bretman replied: “B**** can’t even say Palawan.”
Bretman apparently referred to a video of Vanessa struggling to say the word when she visited the country for the first time last March to shoot a travel documentary with her Filipino mom and sister.
Bretman was last here in Manila in March for his book-signing events for his memoir titled You’re That Bitch and Other Cute Lessons About Being Unapologetically Yourself.
