Nadine Lustre bags Best Actress award at the FAMAS Awards 2023

The Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) announced the winners of its 71st FAMAS awards night which was held at the Fiesta Pavilion of the Manila Hotel on Sunday, August 13.

Among the awardees was Nadine Lustre who bagged her second FAMAS Best Actress award for her performance in Greed, a horror thriller film under Viva Films. It tells the story of a couple who won the biggest jackpot in a lottery but things don’t go out as planned. 

This marks her second top acting award adding to the recognition she received in the romance film “Never Not Love You” in 2019. 

The award-giving body also hailed winners from other categories including “Family Matters” which bagged four awards: Best Picture, Best Editing, Best Actor (Noel Trinidad), and Best Supporting Actress (Nikki Valdez).

The dramedy film centers around a family whose members squabble over who would care for their stroke-stricken father, who is suffering from a stroke.

Best Actress – Nadine Lustre (‘Greed’)

Best Supporting Actor – Sid Lucero (‘Reroute’)

Best Supporting Actress – Nikki Valdez (‘Family Matters’)

Best Picture – ‘Family Matters’

Best Director: Ma-an Asuncion-Dagñalan (‘Blue Room’)

Best Screenplay – ‘La Traidora’

Best Editing – ‘Family Matters’

Best Sound – ‘Reroute’

Best Production Design – ‘Leonor Will Never Die’

Best Cinematography – Neil Daza for ‘Blue Room’
