‘Ganu’n ako mag-love eh’: Andrea Brillantes reveals spending a million on ex-boyfriend Ricci Rivero

Andrea Brillantes made a “price reveal” on the most expensive gift she gave to her ex-boyfriend, basketball player Ricci Rivero.

The actress joined “Meme” Vice Ganda in his newest vlog titled Ang Beshie Kong Gen Z, which referred to Andrea as his solo guest.

The host asked Andrea, “Paano ba mainlove ang beshie kong si Blythe?”

“Actually bakla po ako magmahal, bakla rin akong magregalo sobra, hay!” Andrea said before sighing heavily.

Vice noticed his beshie’s reaction, interpreting it as a person who just had the realization of having spent too much money on someone. “Bigla siyang nahiya, bigla niyang na-realize ‘my god parang mahal yung nabigay ko,’” Vice said.

“Ay mahal po talaga!” Andrea confirmed.

When asked what was the most expensive gift she gave to Ricci, Andrea revealed that one reached a million pesos, “Siguro po umabot ng milyon.”

Vice was overwhelmed by Andrea’s revelation and asked what “stuff” it was.

It seemed that Andrea couldn’t explain in her own words that it was not a material object, which prompted her sibling behind the camera to expose what it really was.

Andrea’s sibling revealed that it was when the actress included Ricci in a project and because he was not originally part of the cast, the athlete’s talent fee was then deducted from Andrea’s.

The project wasn’t indicated but it can be recalled that before their split, the two worked as a couple for the music video of SV Squad’s Sayang Tayo last February.

“Ang taray!” Vice reacted.

“Ganu’n ako mag-love, eh,” the actress said.

“Ginagawa mo naman kasi ‘yun out of love, at tsaka do you regret having done it?” Vice questioned.

To which Andrea firmly answered, “Kahit saan po wala akong pinagsisihan kasi nagmahal ako.”

“Kung mayroon man akong pinagsisihan ay ‘yung mga bagay na nasabi kong masakit kasi aaminin ko hindi rin ako perfect na girlfriend lalo na’t bagets-bagets pa ako, may mga hindi magandang nagawa,” she added, owning up to her mistakes.

Vice aired his advice to people who pour their hearts out to their significant others, “Pag nagmamahal ka ise-share mo do’n sa taong mahal na mahal mo hindi ‘yun katangahan. Ang katangahan ‘yung magbibigay ka ng lampas sa iyong kakayahan.”

“Hangga’t kaya kong magbigay, nagbibigay po ako,” Andrea said.

The comedian then lightened the mood by mentioning couples who take back or return their gifts to each other especially those who ended their relationships with no proper closure.

Vice then asked if Andrea ever returned her gifts from Ricci.

“Hindi. Sentimental po ako, eh.  Although ‘yung isa balak kong isanla kasi hindi ko na nakikita ang sarili kong susuutin ko,” said Andrea.

Aside from sentimentality, practicality also played its part in Andrea’s choice to keep his gift and use them instead to sustain her expenses.

Hindi ko gagawin ‘yun!,” Andrea explained, hinting at the quantity of gifts she had given to the basketball player.

“‘Yung iba naman po kung maganda ‘yung memories hindi ko siya sinosoli tsaka kahit pangit naman ‘yung memory ‘e kung cute na cute ‘yung bag, gusto ko iki-keep ko,” she added.

Ricci and Andrea called it quits a year after making their relationship official in April 2022 when he asked the actress to be his girlfriend in public, after winning his UAAP basketball match.
