Student brings own medal collection on graduation day


Netizens had a good laugh after a senior high school graduate from Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija brought his own medal collection during their graduation on July 7, 2023.

Uploader Justine Marcelo shared that he brought his own medals from taekwondo during his senior high school graduation.

“‘Yung medals po na ‘yun is nakuha ko po siya sa taekwondo. Kaya ko rin po siya dinala kasi gusto ko lang din pong i-flex na may mga medals din akong na-achieve,” he told The Philippine STAR.

Marcelo has been doing taekwondo since 2014. He is also a proud student-athlete. Marcelo even made the moment hilarious after his friend Clyde Oanes followed him on the stage and shared his medal collection with him.

“1 year lng po ako varsity sa school ko po pero matagal napo akong athlete since 2014,” Marcelo said.

Teachers and classmates enjoyed the hilarious stunt that added a touch of fun to the formal event.

Netizens were also quick to react to the hilarious moment during the special day.

“Pwede naman pala magdala wbahahaha,” a netizen commented.

“Teacher ako, at tuwang tuwa ako sa video ?, with or without awards, the fact na natapos niyo ang sobrang challenging na taon, binabati ko kayo,” another netizen said in a jest.  

As of this writing, the posted video on social media garnered more than 15 million views on TikTok.

“Natuwa kasi po nakapag bigay po ako ng positive energy,” he added.
