Xymon Pineda, better known for his role as Onyok in the series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, just finished elementary with honors.
Onyok’s proud mom took to Instagram to share photos from her 12-year-old son’s graduation ceremony as she congratulated him on his academic milestone.
“Congratulations Kuya Xymon Ezekiel! I’m so proud of you anak! Stay humble, obedient and always trust in the Lord with all your heart,” she wrote as caption.
The former child star was photographed wearing his medal and holding his certificate of academic excellence and diploma.
Onyok joined the Coco Martin-led Ang Probinsyano as the actor-director’s adorable sidekick, but left the show in 2017 to focus on his studies.
“Pinakaimportante iyon eh (education). Mawawala tayo sa showbiz pero ‘yung matutunan ng bata hindi, Coco was quoted as saying in an ABS-CBN report.
“Hindi puwedeng puro trabaho lang. Kailangan kahit nando’n sila sa taping, kahit four hours lang sila dapat nag-aaral sila,” he added.
Aside from his Ang Probinsyano stint, Onyok also joined Your Face Sounds Familiar Kids Season 2 in 2018 where he won as runner-up to grand winner TNT Boys.
