Kapamilya star Janella Salvador has confirmed that her cryptic tweet that was in fact, about ABS-CBN’s talent agency Star Magic.

Days after Star Magic launched its Catalogue for its 30th anniversary, Janella posted a curt tweet that read, “Ah. K noted,” followed by a star and magic wand emojis.

There was no context or explanations that followed the post which led netizens to speculate that it was a swipe at her talent management for not including her in the front page of the Star Magic 30 Catalogue.

Janella’s fans expressed their disappointment at ABS-CBN’s talent arm on social media, making “JANELLA DESERVES BETTER” among the country’s trending topics on Twitter at the time.

The actress then confirmed through a text message to host DJ Jhaiho that her ‘k, noted’ tweet was indeed about Star Magic. The host revealed her confirmation in a vlog on Marites University’s YouTube channel uploaded last Tuesday, July 11.

In an exclusive scoop, DJ Jhaiho narrated how he approached Janella by sending her a copy of the tweet and saying that she was “Palaban” for airing it.

To which Janella replied: “Palaban ‘pag tama ‘yung pinaglalaban. Valid naman siguro ‘yung tampo ko.”

Fellow host Rose Garcia then commented that she already saw the catalogue and pointed out that it includes a spread page that included Janella.

Meanwhile, fellow Star Magic talent JC Alcantara appeared to have been caught in the issue after tweeting about “favoritism” the same day Janella posted hers.

His now-deleted tweet read: “Naol my favoritism, lagi nalang tayong option.”

The Hello, Stranger star then clarified in a separate tweet that it was not a swipe at his talent management.

JC apologized to the people that might have been offended by his post. He stressed that he was not aware of the topic of Star Magic and Janella which unintentionally got connected to his tweet.

“I’m not aware po sa trending post about Star Magic lagi po ako nagpopost sa FB ng mga ganun about life,” JC explained, adding he still has a lot to learn in the showbiz industry.

“Happy na ko kung saan man ako ilagay, at hindi rin po dun about ‘yung post ko,” the actor said.
