Did Willie Revillame turn down TAPE’s invitation to guest in revamped Eat Bulaga?

Veteran TV host Willie Revillame has reportedly rejected TAPE Inc.’s invitation for him to appear in the revamped Kapuso noontime show Eat Bulaga.

In an episode of entertainment news commentary show CristyFerMinute, hosts Cristy Fermin and Romel Chika discussed Willie’s supposed conversation with the executives of TAPE Inc., the production company behind Eat Bulaga, last June 30.

According to Cristy, TAPE Inc. reached out to Willie over a possible guest appearance in the Saturday episode of Eat Bulaga for its “first monthsary” celebration. It also coincided with the pilot episode of E.A.T. on TV5 and the debut of its Showtime on GMA’s GTV channel.

“Ang gusto po nila lumabas si Willie sa kanilang programa ‘yung di lehitimong Eat Bulaga, tatapatan ang unang sultada ng Tito, Vic and Joey and Dabarkads dito po sa TV5. Gusto nila nung Sabado,” Cristy said.

“Isa lang ang sinabi ni Willie, ‘Matindi ang respeto ko sa Tito, Vic and Joey, hindi ko magagawa yun’. Ang ganda ‘di ba?” narrated Cristy.

“Hindi lang kasi basta magkakasama sa trabaho, magkababayan si Kuya Tito, si Bossing Vic, si Willie puro mga Cabanatuan sila,” she said on Willie’s connection with the iconic hosting trio.

Cristy noted that the host would reconsider the invitation if his noontime show Wowowin was the one in talks.

Wowowin aired its last episode on February 11, 2022 followed by it’s host’s departure after deciding not to sign the continuation of his contract with the Kapuso network to work with former senator Manny Villar’s new network.
