Jessica Soho allegedly declines to guest Vice Ganda in KMJS

Award-winning GMA News journalist Jessica Soho allegedly declined to have Kapamilya TV host and comedian Vice Ganda as guest in her news magazine program Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho (KMJS).

In an episode of showbiz talk show CristyFerMinute on One PH, veteran showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin said that an insider disclosed information revealing Jessica is not open to guest Vice Ganda in KMJS.

“I’m sure ‘Nay, Ms. Jessica Soho will decline.

A report by detailed the controversy between the two which began after Vice poked fun at the journalist with an insensitive “gang rape joke” during her concert I-Vice Ganda Mo Ako sa Araneta at Smart Araneta Coliseum back in May 2013.

The joke in question was: “Ang hirap nga lang kung si Jessica Soho magbo-bold. Kailangan gang rape lagi.

This sparked rage among Jessica’s colleagues and fellow journalists, condemning Vice for making a sensitive subject a laughing matter.

Days later, the journalist issued an official statement saying, “Rape is not a joke and should never be material for a comedy concert.”

With the guidance of ABS-CBN’s chief operating officer (COO) Cory Vidanes, Vice expressed his regret and sincerity to apologize to the veteran journalist in person.

But the KMJS host reportedly declined to speak with him at that time.

A decade later, with the transfer of Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime to GMA’s GTV channel, fans and viewers are anticipating their interaction after their controversial feud.

Moreover, the TV host had teased that he has been eyeing to grace a GMA show with his presence, but didn’t identify the show.

Makakapag-guest kaya siya do’n? I-invite kaya siya doon? What if mag-meet sila?” he teased.

Meanwhile, Bubble Gang’s mainstay Michael V. had expressed interest to guest Vice for a possible collab skit with one of his popular characters in the gag show, Mr. Assimo.

Jessica has yet to release a statement regarding the legitimacy of the informant’s claims in showbiz-oriented show CristyFerMinute.
