Who else would love to see more of Barbie Forteza on It’s Showtime?

It’s Showtime’s airing on GMA Network’s GTV channel marked a monumental event in TV history as Kapuso and Kapamilya stars came together for the noontime show’s pilot episode on Saturday, July 1.

Vice Ganda led the grand opening number, donning a Barbie look as he flew on a helicopter from the ABS-CBN headquarters in Kamuning to perform at the GMA Network Center in Quezon City.

Barbie, who was introduced as the “Kapuso Primetime Princess”, was among those who joined the production number with other It’s Showtime hosts.

In a tweet, Vice Ganda gave a nod to Barbie being a potential addition to It’s Showtime family.

“Bagay si Barbie sa Showtime. I love her vibe,” said the host said in a tweet reacting to a clip of the Kapuso star excitedly screaming the show’s iconic line, “What’s up, Madlang People!”

Barbie, meanwhile, gushed over Vice Ganda’s kind words and expressed enthusiasm on the possible opportunity

“Omg! Maraming salamat po! G na G po ako!,” said Barbie.

Aside from Barbie, Kapuso siblings Rodjun and Rayver Cruz, Sanya Lopez, Pokwang, Mark Bautista, Gabbi Garcia, Christian Bautista, and Richard Yap shared the stage with the Kapamily stars.

Meanwhile, Kapamilya stars Belle Mariano, Alexa Ilacad, Chie Filomeno, Jodi Sta. Maria, Joshu Garcia, Erik Santos, Jolina Magdangal also graced the show’s debut on GTV channel.

Atty. Felipe Gozon, Chairman and CEO of GMA Network, Inc. declared “TV war is finally over” after a contract-signing attended by top network executives and It’s Showtime hosts on June 28 for the noontime show’s transfer to GTV channel from TV5 which aired the program for a year.
