Elha Nympha opened up about facing health issues and how she’s dealing with them.

In the Thursday episode of the Kapamilya morning show Magandang Buhay, Elha revealed she is currently facing health problems that have been affecting her womanhood.

“Up until now ay nagpapagamot po ako. Sana po soon ay makabangon po. Hindi naman po siya life and death situation pero maapektuhan po kasi ang future ko as a woman,” she added.

Elha became emotional as she shared the source of her strength to overcome challenges in her life.

Momshie host Regine Velasquez recounted her interaction with Elha on the musical-variety show ASAP, where she consoled her fellow singer with words of encouragement.

“Actually nung nag-‘ASAP’, she had a hard time nung kakanta siya dapat, kasi parang ‘yon ang pinoproblema niya ‘kasi I gained a little bit of (weight).’ So parang feeling niya ayaw niyo na akong kunin kasi hindi niyo na gusto ang itsura ko’,” the host recalled.

“So sabi ko sa kanya parang ‘no it has nothing to do with that.’ ‘ASAP,’ and (us) we love singing with you because of your voice, your talent, and we love you because you are such a wonderful young lady,” Regine told Elha.

Regine continued to uplift her fellow singer, “Elha, it’s okay. Never mind whatever it’s that troubling you right now may pinagdadaanan ang katawan mo, process ‘yan ng katawan natin. Process ‘yan na kailangan mong pagdaanan, maghi-heal din yan kasi it’s not like that wala ka namang ginagawa but you know, you need to continue.”

The hosts urged people to “be sensitive, conscious, and aware” in giving out comments about others, especially to minors, because words said in poor taste may have “implications” on the person.

Elha said that despite receiving negative comments, she remains focused on prioritizing her health by promoting body positivity and embracing her true self.

“Ang hirap i-maintain ‘yung body ko before kasi ang dami po talagang health problems na dumating sa akin ngayon, as in ngayon po. I chose not to pansinin ang mga taong nagsasabi na ‘oy grabe ang taba mo.’ Pino-promote ko ngayon ang body positivity and ini-embrace ko ang sarili ko dahil sobrang happy po ako,” Elha said.

Elha rose to fame at the young age of 11 after being hailed the grand winner of The Voice Kids Philippines’ second season. She recently released a new single titled Spark the Dream, in collaboration with FWD Life Insurance, Junior Achievement of the Philippines, and UMG Philippines.
