For Vice Ganda, the ABS-CBN noontime show It’s Showtime became a casualty of the ongoing feud between Eat Bulaga producer TAPE, Inc. and the original Eat Bulaga hosts Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon.
In a vlog released on Tuesday, June 27, Vice Ganda addressed how their show was affected by the conflict between TAPE and the original Dabarkads trio, TVJ.
As of writing, the vlog is currently ranked sixth on YouTube’s most trending videos in the country.
Vice remarked that despite being put in an unfavorable position, they will not blame TVJ for they are all in a similar situation.
Lahat kami may pinaglalabang programa. Lahat kami may pinaglalabang audience na gustong pagsilbihan,” the host said.
Vicewent on to address TV5, saying that while he was saddened by circumstances that led to It’s Showtime’s exit from the network, he said he remained grateful to the company run by Manny V. Pangilinan.
Minsan sa buhay namin, nakaramdam kami ng pagdiriwang at kasiyahan dahil sa tulong nila and that will forever be one great reason to be grateful to them,” Vice said.
It’s Showtime officially parted ways with the Kapatid network on June 20, as the noontime variety show formally announced that it was transferring to GMA Network’s GTV channel.
