Taylor Swift and Matt Healy have ended their brief romance, according to US news outlet TMZ.
On Tuesday, June 6 (Manila time), TMZ reported that an unnamed source claimed that Taylor is “single again”.
TMZ was the first to break the news.
“Taylor and Matty broke up. They are both extremely busy and realized they’re not really compatible with each other. Taylor’s friends want what’s best for her and aren’t shocked that their relationship fizzled out since she recently got out of a long-term relationship,” Fashion magazine Elle quoted the source on their website.
The whirlwind romance of the two took the media by rounds. Netizens aired mixed reactions as they spotted The 1975 frontman attending three of Taylor’s concerts in Nashville.
Swifties raised eyebrows as it happened amidst the news of her and former lover Joe Alwyn’s split after six years of being together. Joe was among the inspirations for most of Taylor’s love songs including ‘Lover’. ‘Cornelia Street’, and ‘Paper Rings’.
Soon after, Taylor was spotted on multiple occasions with Matty. The artists’ seemed inseparable as they went out on dates around NYC. Matty was even seen hanging out with Taylor’s dad during her stop in Philadelphia for her Eras Tour.
However, TMZ noted that the pair was not seen out in public since May 25, the last time they went out for a dinner date.
TMZ’s report did not give out the cause of their breakup.
Just recently, Matty got media attention for sharing a kiss with a security guard during his band’s concert in Denmark. Taylor, on the other hand, accidentally swallowed a bug during her Chicago show.
Taylor and Matty have not yet commented on the news. The two are currently on their respective tours.
