This nursing fresh grad made a buzz on social media after he gave his first paycheck to his mom on February 27, 2023.

“Unang sweldo ko, Ma,” uploader Gabriel Angelo Dela Cruz said in the now-viral video.

Mommy Adora can be seen giggling while counting her son’s first salary.

“Ibalik ko sa ’yo. Pinaghirapan mo ‘to anak. Unang sahod mo ‘to, tatangapin ko ‘to. So ito, iingatan mo itong pera mo,” Mommy Adora said.

Gabriel was shocked by his mom’s gesture and couldn’t believe that she gave back his salary.

“Hihingi ako sa ‘yo kapag kailangan ko. Iintregahan kita lagi. Gamitin mo pa ‘yan kasi 15 days ka eh,” she added.

Gabriel received praises from the online community as well as his mom for her unexpected reaction.

According to Gabriel, he planned on giving his first paycheck to his mom to somehow payback all the sacrifices she made for their family.

Gabriel came from a broken family. He said that his mom worked hard to sustain their needs.

At an early age, Gabriel promised to himself that he would do everything for Mommy Adora and their family.

“Talagang ever since na nag-aaral pa lang po ako, talagang ang mindset ko po once na talaga pong makapagwork ako and matanggap ko unang sweldo ko, ipapahawak or ibibigay ko talaga sa mom ko kasi all throughout ‘yung paghihirap niya parang kahit man lang dun makabawi ako na napapansin ko po ‘yung effort, ‘yung hardship niya po sa aming mga anak niya,” stressed.

As of this writing, the video has already garnered more than one million views on TikTok.

“Bakit pati ako naiyak kahit di ko naman ‘yan nanay,” a netizen said in a jest.

I love you,” Gabriel said when asked about his message to his mom.
