‘Missing you everyday’: Magalona family marks Francis M’s 14th death anniversary

The Magalona family took to social media to commemorate the late OPM rap icon Francis “Kiko” Magalona’s 14th death anniversary.

On Instagram, Pia Magalona, the wife of the rap master, popularly known by his moniker “Francis M”, posted a series of photos of her and her children visiting the grave of her husband.

“Bless the man if his heart and his land are one. Three Stars & a Sun,” Pia wrote as caption as they marked 14 years since husband died from acute myelogenous leukemia on March 6, 2009.

“Thank you to all who remember, and pls say a prayer for us,” Pia said in a separate post showing a photo of her wearing a commemorative shirt.

Pia and Francis M’s eldest Maxene Magalona, meanwhile, uploaded snaps of her hugging a post featuring a painting of her father’s face and wrote: “We lost you 14 years ago today and we’ve been missing you everyday since.”

She added, “My love for you is undying, Pop. Rap in paradise.”

Saab Magalona, on the other hand, also posted separate snaps of her and her kids Pancho and Vito’s visit to her father’s grave.

“The boys seemed very clingy to their Ate Luna hehe,” Saab said, referring to her late daughter Luna, who was buried next to her grandpa’s tomb.

“I’m sure pop is loving that his grandkids are dancing on his grave, proving that showmanship runs in the family,” added Saab.

In other news, Francis M’s polo shirt, the one he wore in the music video of collaboration song Bagsakan with Chito Miranda and Gloc-9, was recently auctioned off to raise funds for Parokya ni Edgar guitarist Gab Chee Kee’s medical expenses.

Born on October 4, 1964, Francis M, is known for his hit and patriotic songs Mga Kababayan, Tayo’y Mga Pinoy and Kaleidoscope World, among other songs.
