‘Pasensya na po’: Couple in viral Pinoy Henyo game says ‘cheating’ unintentional

-

The couple who went viral after allegedly cheating in the “Pinoy Henyo” segment of noontime show Eat Bulaga to enter the jackpot round, have aired their apologies over the incident.

Contestants Lyka Alburo and Ryan Oraño have addressed the criticisms that came after the controversial Valentine’s Day episode of “Pinoy Henyo”, where the two were caught on cam supposedly mouthing the correct answers “stomach” and “Abra” while playing the guessing game.

“Hindi ko po intensyon na sabihin ‘yung word na ‘stomach,” Alburo stated in an interview with GMA magazine TV show Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho, saying they got carried away by their emotions during their turn.

The two, who took home a P30,00 cash prize, also said sorry to the management and hosts of Eat Bulaga, saying they are ready to face the consequences of their actions.

Alburo and Oraño admitted getting harsh messages on social media following the incident, pleading with netizens to stop the hate.

Despite the backlash, the couple hopes that the incident will serve as a lesson to others.

Eat Bulaga host Joey De Leon earlier took a swipe at the cheating incident, saying, “Sa isang laro, ano ang ginagawa mo para mawala yung saya o yung fun? Kapag ikaw ay nandaya! Kapag nagchi-cheating ka sa isang game, wala na yung fun,” he said.
