Sunshine Cruz recently spoke up about her months-long rumored breakup with longtime boyfriend Macky Mathay.
Although the actress no longer went into detail regarding the reason behind her separation with the San Juan councilor, Sunshine admitted that trust was gone in their relationship.
‘Pag merong isang nawala do’n, it’s not going to work,” Sunshine said in an interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.
Sunshine explained that she chose to keep mum over their split for the sake of their respective kids.
When asked if a third-party caused their breakup, Sunshine responded: “Wala ako sa posisyon magsalita tungkol diyan.”
The 45-year-old also got emotional when she confronted herself while facing the mirror.
“Sunshine I’m so sorry kung sobra-sobra kang magmahal sa tao. Thank you, thank you kasi nagmahal ka man ng buong-buo alam ko at nakikita ng Diyos kung anong totoong nasa puso mo,” Sunshine told herself.
Sunshine sparked split rumors with Macky last year after she shared cryptic posts and unfollowed him on Instagram.
The two were together for more than five years.
