Alex Gonzaga rose to Twitter’s top trending topics as netizens called her out for supposed misbehavior towards a waiter during her birthday party.
The actress-vlogger celebrated her 35th birthday with close friends and family on Monday.
In a video posted by Dani Baretto via Instagram stories, Alex was captured getting groovy as guests sang her a “Happy Birthday” while a supposed waiter held the birthday cake.
Right after she blew out the birthday candles, Alex smeared the cake’s chocolate frosting on the supposed waiter’s forehead.
This did not sit well with netizens who quickly aired their reactions over Alex’s rude behavior, calling it “bastos” and “not funny at all”, among others.
“I guess masama talaga ang ugali nya. That wasn’t funny. Ni hindi nya naman kilala yungs server (he looks like a server). Bastos.
“Alex Gonzaga trending as always for all the horrible reasons.
“You can’t treat people like dirt yet worship God at the same time. It’s hypocrisy, Alex Gonzaga.”
Amid the backlash, Dani took down the said video but a copy was posted on Pilipino Star Ngayon Digital’s Facebook page.
As of writing, the now-deleted Instagram story has more than 30,000 reactions, and over 11,000 shares on Facebook.
Alex, meanwhile, has yet to address the issue.
