Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel couldn’t help but gush over the “triple crown” that changed the course of her life forever.

The Filipino-American beauty recently took to social media to share her gratitude over winning the coveted Miss Universe crown on Sunday.

“My heart is over the moon. These past 15 days have changed my life. I carry this new title with the strength of all the incredible women I have come across this month. It is an honor to be here, and it is my mission to make the universe proud,” she wrote on an Instagram post.

The 28-year-old made mention of her “triple crown,” after winning three titles all in the same year – Miss Texas 2022, Miss USA 2022, and Miss Universe 2022.

In an interview after her coronation, Gabriel thanked her Filipino fans for their support in her pageant journey.

“Mabuhay, Philippines. Mabuhay Filipino fans. Maraming, maraming salamat sa lahat ng tulong ninyo. The support is everything. I feel it in my heart. I heard it in the room. It was an amazing energy. The Filipino blood is so strong. We are hardworking, we’re fun and we’re determined, and I’m so proud to be half-Filipina,” she said.

This year’s Miss Universe competition made history for Filipino fans as they mourn the Philippines’ 12-year-long streak of entering the pageant’s semifinals.

Miss Universe Philippines Celeste Cortesi shocked fans all over the world when she did not advance to the Top 16.
