Dennis Padilla expressed disappointment against a seafood restaurant for allegedly taking advantage of his “balikbayan” friend.
The comedian-actor took to Instagram to share their recent dining experience at the said restaurant which charged them with “overpriced” meals.
According to Dennis, a mango shake at the restaurant was priced at P450 per order while a kilo of lobster amounted to P5,500.
“Nakaka-frustrate, nakakalungkot kasi kapwa Filipino ganun ang ginagawa nila,” stated Dennis.
He also left a reminder to the future customers of restaurants to be wary of the food menu prices.
“So kung pupunta kayo dito tanong niyo muna kung magkano yung price. Sobra. Alam mong sobra.
Sobra,” added Dennis while showing the receipt that totaled their bill at P38,868 for seven persons.
Dennis also called on the tourism agency to investigate on the matter.
Netizens, including showbiz friends Janno Gibbs and Arlene Muhlach, meanwhile aired their reactions over the incident.
“Grabe naman presyo,” said Janno. To which Dennis replied, “7 pax kami.”
A netizen also noted how the restaurant didn’t have a breakdown of the meals Dennis’ group ordered.
“Kahit sa receipt mali hindi nila na break down ang lahat nang order at prices nilagay lang Meal 38k+ dyan palang mali na,” the netizen said.
