ENHYPEN connects with Filo ENGENEs in Manila fan meet

-

“That Feeling When” ENHYPEN finally got to meet their Filipino fans in one memorable night.

Globally popular Kpop boy group ENHYPEN brought the fever to Manila with their first-ever fan meet in the country on December 3 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The event was held in line with BYS Philippines’ 10th anniversary celebration in partnership with Wilbros Live.

The septet, composed of Heeseung, Jay, Jake, Sunghoon, Jungwon, Sunoo, and Ni-ki were revealed as the new faces of the Australian cosmetic brand last October.

ENGENEs, ENHYPEN’s official fan club name, flock to the Smart Araneta Coliseum to show their all-out love and support to the two-year old group.

ENHYPEN had to take a moment to listen to their fans’ thunderous screams and almost unending cheers upon showing up on stage.

Check out some of the highlights from the fun meet where the boys got more connected with their Pinoy fans.

Learning Tagalog phrases

Lucky fans got to teach the boys of ENHYPEN some Tagalog phrases such as “Magandang Gabi” and “Ngiti ka naman diyan” and engage in a game of charades, with shout-outs to the group in between.

Fun mini games, Q and A

The crowd got to know more about the member’s personal preferences during a series of question and answer segment and mini games with host Sam Oh.

Concert-ready ENGENEs

Even with their two-day Manila concert still a few months away from happening, ENGENEs are already hyped up enough to chant and sing along to some of ENHYPEN’s songs played during the fanmeet.

“We are coming back next year for a concert. But today, we can already feel so much energy from you guys. I’m looking forward to seeing you again,” said Jake.

Here’s ENHYPEN’s short acapella of their hit song “Polaroid Love” and ENGENes chanting to the group’s “Future Perfect (Pass the Mic)” track after a clip of their music video played on screen.

Happy Birthday, Sunghoon and Ni-ki!

Fans were sweet enough to greet and sing “happy birthday” to Sunghoon and Ni-ki who are celebrating their birthdays on December 8 and 9, respectively.

Heartwarming support from fans

Filo ENGENEs also presented banners with the message “ Our hearts beat together between the gaps of universe”, and a fan-made project which left ENHYPEN astounded by their fandom’s huge support.

“I’m very sorry that I didn’t notice the Filipinos’ love until I watched the video,” said Sunghoon.

“I’m speechless. You guys are awesome, Manila,” added Jay.

Dedicated fans even traveled far, such as those who came from Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, not to mention, Japan, just to attend the group’s first fanmeet in Manila.

“Team Labas” fans showed their support for the group outside Big Dome, nevertheless.

 P-R-D-X Invaders

ENHYPEN ended the event with their energetic performance of PardoXXX Invasion, a B-side track from their “MANIFESTO : DAY 1” mini- album.

The fun meet also showcased local talents with performances from Darren Espanto and PPOP groups VXON and G22.

ENHYPEN will be back in Manila next year to stage their two-day concert at the Mall of Asia Arena on February 4 and 5, 2023.
