Kathryn Bernardo turned emotional as she penned a heartfelt letter for her “Lolo Sir” Ronaldo Valdez on social media.
The actress’ lengthy appreciation post came days after her and her longtime boyfriend Daniel Padilla’s show 2 Good 2 Be True aired its final episode.
Bernardo shared that working with the veteran actor was an “answered prayer” as she revealed she has been a fan of him since the 90s when he starred in projects such as Cedie and Munting Paraiso.
“I tried to get to know you day by day, cycle per cycle, then whoosh! We just clicked. I had no idea you were as matakaw and into sweets just like! And ooops, pareho din tayo iyakin. God knows how much I enjoyed doing every scene with such a brilliant and genuine actor like you,” she said.
The 2G2BT star owed her performance as Ali to her Tito Ron’s support and guidance in every scene they did. She also shared one moment when Valdez helped her film “a very special scene” just to make sure she conveyed the right emotions.
“I appreciate our random talks about life (including your love life), your experiences, your favorite food, and so much more. You trusted me fully and I will always be grateful for that. You showed us who you really are behind the ‘veteran actor’ people know you as, and we just love you even more,” she ended.
Bernardo’s special post was made even better by the adorable photos she shared of her co-star while they were filming the show.
Even in 2021, the 26-year-old gushed over working with Valdez and even went as far as to say that it was one of the highlights of her year.
