Pia Wurtzbach admitted she’s feeling nervous for her first-ever marathon in New York City.
The Miss Universe 2015 took to social media to share a snap of her training for the big day, along with her thoughts on the upcoming experience.
“Less than 2 months before @nycmarathon. I’m not gonna lie. I get nervous when I think about Nov 6. Any running advice from marathoners would be really helpful,” she wrote in the caption.
In jest, Pia shared she is “clueless” when it comes to picking out her outfit for race day. She shared: “I mean, what do you even wear? Do you wear your name on your shirt? A flag? I’m so clueless.”
The 32-year-old revealed that she plans to finish the race strong as she will attempt to run the whole marathon.
“When it comes to my training naman, I have coach @gabbrosario training me everyday. We started early this year and his goal for me is to finish strong. Ayaw namin na maglakad ako. 42kms! Lord kaya ko ‘to,” she ended.
Under her post, Pia thanked her fans for their helpful marathon tips such as hydrating at every station and double checking her running shoes for the big day.
It was in July when Pia revealed she will be trying her hand at running marathons. In a social media post, she opened up on how she made the decision to try it out when she had COVID-19 at the beginning of the year.
“Something clicked over New Year (when I had Covid) and I was just sick and tired of being and sick and tired. I felt like, ‘Okay Pia if you don’t do it now, you’ll never do it’,” she shared.
