Michael de Mesa clarified the details of where his late sister Cherie Gil’s remains were buried.
The veteran actor mentioned he felt the need to clarify after a report claimed his sister was laid to rest in Bukidnon.
“Cherie was cremated in New York. Most of her remains are with our other sister, Elaine, in California. Part of her is with my parents who are also in California and some are here with my wife and I.
“Bukidnon was her favorite place, but she is not buried there. Some of her ashes were just scattered there,” he explained.
The 62-year-old’s clarification was also followed by Markus Paterson’s now-deleted Instagram post where he visited the late actress’ cenotaph in Bukidnon.
