Callalily continues search for new vocalist

LILY, formerly known as Callalilly, continues its search for the band’s new vocalist.

On Tuesday, LILY, in its Facebook page sought name suggestions for the vocalist who will replace former frontman Kean Cipriano.

“Help! Naghahanap [k]ami ng magandang name ng vocalist na papalit, yung tunog nag-sstay. Suggest kayo dali,” read LILY’s Facebook post.

Kean, who was with Callalily for 17 years, earlier confirmed that he is no longer part of the group.

“Callalily is done. I’m moving on, I’ve moved on, moving forward, and I wish them all the best,” said Kean.

Kean also claimed that the group had not been quite okay for some time now.

“I mean, we’re okay na parang… I think in a group, magkakasama kayo for 17 years, marami na rin nangyari and I don’t think medyo matagal na rin kaming hindi okay so, alam mo ‘yon, parang ibang chapter naman for us,” Kean was quoted saying in a report by Push last week.

The band, which popularized the songs Magbalik, Pansamantala, Ex, among others, has since changed its Facebook name to Lily Music.

Lily is currently composed of Lemuel Belaro, Aaron Ricafrente, Brylle Balbuena, and Nathan Reyes.

Auditions for the group’s new vocalist will start on July 2 and ends on August 26.
