Gerald Anderson was all praises for Ivana Alawi who is his leading lady in the upcoming ABS-CBN series A Family Affair.
During a recent virtual conference, Gerald admitted getting surprised with Ivana’s acting performance for her first lead role.
“Talagang nagulat ako sa performance niya, sa binibigay niya sa passion niya, sa professionalism niya kung paano siya makipagtrabaho. Maraming matutuwa,” Gerald was quoted saying in a Pilipino Star Ngayon report.
The actor added that the actress-vlogger’s fans would be seeing a different Ivana Alawi with her portrayal as Cherry Red in the series.
“As her first lead role, para makita mo ‘yung growth ng tao, makikita mo ito ‘yung oportunidad na binigay sa kanya tapos ginagawa niya ‘yung maganda at meron akong soft spot para sa ganyan.
“Yung audience niya sa YouTube sigurado ako, ayaw kong sabihing ibang Ivana pero magugulat kayo sa Ivana na mapapanood niyo bilang Cherry Red,” said Gerald who will play the role of Paco in the series.
Ivana, meanwhile, earlier commended Gerald as for being “very professional” and “caring” when it comes to work.
“Especially during taping, nag-i-internalize siya. When he becomes the character, ang galing talaga.”
She added, “Sobrang na-to-touch ako sa sobrang pagiging maalaga niya. Kasi may scene na tumatakbo ako na parang nakapaa. Siya mismo yung nagwawalis. Sobrang bait.”
Aside from Gerald, Ivana will also have Sam Milby, Jake Ejercito and Jameson Blake as her leading men in the series.
