Janno Gibbs gained new followers on Instagram after losing some after voicing out his political views in the social media platform.
The veteran actor, who’s known as a supporter of Vice President Leni Robredo in the 2022 presidential polls, earlier shared his thoughts about apparently being “bitter” following the release of the partial, unofficial election results.
Comelec’s initial tally of votes showed former senator Ferdinad “Bongbong” Marcos Jr as the presidential race runner.
“Sabi nyo ‘wag nang bitter.’ Tanggapin na lang na talo na. Move on na. Nung matalo si BBM as VP, Nagmove on ba? Tinanggap ba niyo? Hindi. Nagprotesta at nagparecount ng 3x talo pa rin,” said Janno, while referring to Robredo and Marcos Jr.’s vice presidential race in 2016 where Robredo emerged as the winner.
“So hayaan niyo kaming maging bitter. Kung nabaliktad ang resulta, pihado bitter din kayo. Let us grieve,” added the actor.
After airing his sentiments, Janno revealed in a subsequent post that he lost about 4,000 followers overnight.
“Sumula kagabi 4K followers na ang nawala sa sakin. Dahil sa mga personal kong pananaw sa politika,” wrote the actor in an Instagram post on Wednesday, May 11.
Janno graced Robredo’s grand rally and birthday celebration in Pasay City last April 23 and has been vocal of his support to the public servant.
On Friday, Janno shared a pink-themed photo of himself, sharing that he regained 5,000 followers on the platform.
“Grabe kayo Kakampinks!!!,” said Janno as he thanked the supporters of Robredo.
“Nawalan ako ng 5K Followers dahil sa prinsipyo. Ngunit pinalitan niyo ito ng 5K New Followers sa loob lamang ng isang araw.
“Maraming salamat din sa mga di nang-iwan kahit iba ang inyong kulay. Respeto para sa inyon,” added Janno.
