Comediennes Kakai Bautista and Kiray Celiz paid tribute to late celebrity makeup artist and stylist Fanny Serrano, remembering his act of kindness when they were bashed for their appearance.
Fanny, or Felix Mariano Fausto Jr. in real life, died in his sleep Tuesday night at his residence in Quezon City.
Kakai, in a social media post, paid homage to Fanny, recalling how the latter defended her against her critics and taught her to embrace her beauty.
Sharing photos of her “Fanny Serrano transformation,” Kakai wrote, “I still can’t express how grateful I am for your Kindness and generosity.
“A few years ago, ikaw na isang Fanny Serrano ang nagtanggol at binigyan ako ng inspiration na laging magtiwala sa aking ganda.
She added, “Sa mundong punung-puno ng pagsamba sa stereotype na ganda, Nag-iisa ka.??? MAY YOU REST IN GOD’s eternal peace.”
Kiray, meanwhile, uploaded throwback pics of her with Fanny, reminiscing how she got to meet the beauty and fashion icon.
“Actually pinahanap po ako ni tito fanny. May nabasa daw kasi siyang article na binubully ako sa make up at nalagay ako sa (worst-dressed) sa isang ball. At dun na nagsimula ang lahat,’ said Kiray.
Kiray made a buzz in 2013 after she posted photos of herself glammed up by Fanny in her first fashion photoshoot.
‘Wala akong masabi. Mamimiss kita fairy godmother ko.. MY TITO FANNY “TF” SERRANO, Mahal na mahal kita. Sobra! I love you, Tf! Rest in peace,” continued Kiray.
A public viewing will be held for Fanny at the Arlington Memorial Chapel on at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 12.
