Netizens are speculating if a third party caused the rumored breakup of Carla Abellana and Tom Rodriguez after the actress reacted to a netizen’s “cheater” comment on the actor’s Instagram post.
On Instagram, Tom promoted his upcoming film with Meg Imperial titled The Last Five Years.
While his fans congratulated him on his new film, one netizen was spotted commenting, “You are cheater,” under Tom’s Instagram post.
Eagle-eyed netizens noticed that Carla was among those who liked the said comment, fueling speculations that infidelity led to the couple’s alleged split.
Netizens first speculated that Carla and Tom’s marriage is on the rocks after the two “unfollowed and followed” each other on Instagram last January.
Carla, however, in recent Instagram stories seemed to have addressed the “unfollow-follow” issue, saying, “I find it very grade school to unfollow-follow important persons in your life on social media within a short time frame.”
“On the other hand, it may actually be a skillful move if you’re playing a spiteful game,” she added.
The Kapuso actress also informed her followers of a “remove follower” feature on Instagram.
Carla then reminded netizens to “be more mindful about distractions and diversions especially on social media.”
