Lolit Solis took to social media to greet Eat Bulaga host Joey de Leon on his 75th birthday.
On Thursday, October 14, Joey shared photos of his birthday celebration at home to thank his well wishers.
In her birthday greeting post for Joey, Lolit addressed him as her “loveteam”, sharing how they went from being grade school classmates to workmates.
“Joke namin na loveteam kami dahil classmates kami sa Moises Salvador Elementary School nuon mga bata pa kami. Hindi mo aakalain na sa showbiz pala kami magtatagpo uli,” said Lolit.
The veteran showbiz columnist then went to describe how Joey is as a colleague. The two were co-hosts in the now-defunct GMA showbiz talk show Startalk alongside Butch Francisco and the late Ricky Lo.
“Alam mo ba na isa sa pinaka-masarap ka trabaho si Joey de Leon. Magaan at very professional. Hindi mo makikitang ma high blood, at talagang very commanding ang presence. Idol siya ng mga writers dahil sa sharpness ng wit at wisdom niya.
“Feel na feel mo kung paano siya igalang ng mga tao na nakasama niya sa trabaho. Ang sarap makita kung gaano kataas ang naabot niya sa showbiz, iyon hanggang ngayon nasa top of the rank pa siya , top level ang kinalalagyan.
Lolit can’t help but took pride in Joey as her classmate, colleague, and a friend.
“Proud ako na nakasama ko siya sa trabaho, naging classmate, at sana masasabi ko na friend niya ako.
“To Joey de Leon my wish of good health, happiness and continued success. HENYO ka talaga, dahil hindi lang utak ang maganda sa iyo, pati puso. Enjoy your day , loveteam, hahhah, kahit ayaw mo, ipipilit ko, wala ka magagawa, hah hahhah!!,” she added in jest.
