Kim Domingo had to drop out of her upcoming TV project after testing positive for COVID-19.
The Kapuso actress revealed in an emotional Instagram post on Monday that she tested positive for the coronavirus on August 27.
Kim said she did not expect that she would contract the virus even after being fully vaccinated and following safety precautions religiously.
“Pinagtatawanan na nga ako sa sobrang pag disinfect at pag-iingat na ginagawa ko. Kumpleto din ako ng vitamins at fully vaccinated,” shared Kim.
Kim went on to express her dismay on not being able to push through with GMA’s upcoming drama series Love.Die.Repeat, which will supposedly mark her TV comeback after doing the work from home setup since the pandemic hit the country.
“Hindi ko na din po magagawa ang #LoveDieRepeat, ito sana ang pagbabalik ko sa TV simula nagka pandemic dahil hindi po ako tumanggap ng trabaho sa labas.
“Grabe ang iyak ko nung nalaman ko na hindi na ako makakasama sa show. Napaka wrong timing. Pero inisip ko nalang, may dahilan kung bakit nangyari ito. May ibang plano siguro si LORD para sa akin ???,” wrote Kim.
The 26-year-old also admitted her fears of having a lock-in taping at first, but was put at ease after she decided to get vaccinated.
“Natatakot ako maglock in taping pero dahil nabakunahan na ako, mas napanatag ako saka namimiss ko na ang pag arte ? Naka set na sana kami nung Aug. 29 para sa quarantine ng show at biglang sa hindi inaasahan, nangyari ito,” she shared.
Kim continued to open up about her takeaway from her experience, urging her followers to receive the COVID-19 shot.
“Saan ko nga ba nakuha? Hindi ko din alam, pero isa lang ang malinaw sakin. Kahit anong ingat mo, pwedeng pwede ka tamaan ng COVID. Hindi natin sya nakikita. Kaya kung meron kayo pagkakataon na magpa bakuna, magpa bakuna kayo.”
The actress was thankful that she had only experienced mild symptoms such as fever, and loss of smell and taste.
“Makakatulong ang bakuna para mabawasan ang severity ng covid. Buti nalang at fully vaccinated na ako at ang pamilya ko. Wala na akong lagnat, pero wala pa din pang amoy at panlasa. Pero still malakas pa din ako kumain.”
As of now, Kim is feeling much better and still observing the quarantine procedures.
“Mas okay na pakiramdam ko ? Pahinga lang at iwas ma-stress. Tuloy tuloy pa din ako sa pagiingat, pag di-disinfect, hindi din po ako lumalabas. Tatapusin ko po ang aking home quarantine hanggang sa ako ay mag negative na sa virus.”
In a separate Instagram post, Kim penned a thank you message to those who checked in on her and sent her reassuring words.
