American singer Halsey took to social media to announce that she has given birth to her first child with screenwriter and producer Alev Aydin on July 19.
On Instagram, Halsey shared black-and-white photos of herself holding baby Ender Ridley while looking at her partner.
“Gratitude. For the most ‘rare’ and euphoric birth. Powered by love,” she captioned.
The 26-year-old singer also revealed that her first child was born on July 14.
In late January, Halsey surprised fans with her pregnancy by sharing photos of her baby bump on Instagram.
While she did not explicitly state the father of her child, she tagged Alev on the Instagram post. Alev’s comment on the announcement confirmed that he is the father of the baby.
On July 7, Halsey unveiled the cover of her fourth album titled If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, which created a sensation across social media platforms.
The album cover featured Halsey sitting on a golden throne with a crown on her head while baring one breast and a baby on her lap.
If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power explores the “joys and horrors” of pregnancy and childbirth. She said the album cover celebrates “pregnant and postpartum bodies.”
The album is set to be released on Aug. 27.
