Enchong Dee fulfills dream of opening up own school

-

Enchong Dee has finally fulfilled one of his longtime dreams — opening up his own school.

“I always equate education to empowerment. Kapag may kaalaman ang isang mamamayan, mas malayo ang naabot na mga pangarap,” he wrote on Instagram.

In his announcement post, the actor-athlete shared that he and his business partners are opening the Academy of Rock (AOR) Philippines.

“This is one of the few businesses that I will personally supervise to make sure that the quality of music education will be at par with our Singaporean counterpart,” he said.

According to their website, Singapore’s AOR is an award-winning music school dedicated to popular music education.

The academy started out way back in 2007 with the mission to create a “progressive, inclusive environment” for people of all ages to participate in popular music education.

Aside from acting, Enchong has been quite the businessman with multiple projects that he’s had worked on over the years.

The 32-year-old owns three franchise branches of the restaurant Peri-Peri Chicken. In a past Instagram post, Enchong opened up that he is learning how to become a better businessman with the ongoing pandemic.

“My biggest realization is sacrificing personal gain for us to remain open for the people who fell in love with our food and for the people who work for us.

“I already embraced the fact that my partners and I will not earn anything until the virus is contained, but we will do our very best for us to stay open. And that is worth celebrating,” he wrote.
