Ted Failon has gone into home isolation after testing positive for the coronavirus.

In a statement shared Tuesday through his Radyo5 co-anchor DJ Chacha on social media, Ted said he immediately got himself tested on Monday, March 29, after learning he was exposed to a colleague infected with COVID-19.

Ted added that he is asymptomatic and in self-isolation at his residence.

All the people who got in close contact with him, including DJ Chacha, have also undergone swab testing.

“I am praying that I do not develop any symptoms and if at all possible, I can continue working from home, via any communication means that is achievable, given the current state that I am in,” wrote Ted.

He also reminded the public to be “extra cautious” and “take all necessary precautions to ensure our safety and the safety of our families.”

“This is serves as a reminder to everyone that even in the midst of strictly following the health protocols, the probability of the virus infecting us is still high.”

On Monday, the Department of Health (DOH) logged a record-high 10,016 new COVID-19 cases in the country.
