Doris Bigornia’s daughter Nikki took to social media to relay the news that her mom’s open heart surgery was successful.
Nikki shared her mom’s health update via Twitter on Tuesday, March 2, more than a week after the 55-year-old broadcast journalist suffered a heart attack.
The younger Bigornia also expressed her gratitude and asked for more prayers for her mom’s full recovery.
It was last February 22 when Alvin Elchico, Doris’ co-anchor on the DZMM Teleradyo program SRO, revealed that the “Mutya ng Masa” was in the Intensive Care Unit and scheduled for an open heart surgery after suffering a heart attack.
Colleagues in the media industry such as Karen Davila, Korina Sanchez and Jeff Canoy sought prayers and expressed support for Doris.
