Kuya Wil asks netizens not to bash Miss Manila

-

TV host Willie Revillame appealed to netizens to stop bashing Miss Universe Philippines 2020 candidate representing Manila, Alexandra Abdon.

Miss Manila was previously invited by Kuya Wil as a guest co-host in his show and to resolve her supposed conflict with Wowowin co-host Herlene “Hipon Girl” Budol.

However, Miss Manila trended on Twitter over the weekend after netizens expressed their frustration over the beauty queen for showing “rude behavior” to Hipon Girl during their “face-off” in Wowowin’s December 18 episode.

On Monday, Kuya Wil came to Miss Manila’s defense, clarifying that she and Hipon Girl had already ironed out their differences.

“Si Hipon ho at tsaka si Miss Manila, hindi ho magkaaway ‘yon, nagkaayos na ho ‘yon. Alam niyo, ganun lang naman, nagkakabiruan sila,” said Kuya Wil.

“Kawawa naman si Miss Manila, wag niyo naman i-bash. Sa totoo lang, mabait na bata eh. Nung kumakain kami, tahimik siya,” he added.

Kuya Wil also asked his viewers not to make a big deal out of Miss Manila and Hipon Girl’s “face-off” in Wowowin since it was just playful banter between the two.

“‘Wag niyo lang ho pansinin. ‘Wag na natin palakihin ‘to.”

Abdon, meanwhile, reacted to her bashers online, dismissing them as “mga nobody” and “mga bored” in a Facebook post.

According to her, people would tag her on social media at the height of the issue, but when Revillame defended her, she was no longer being tagged in posts.

“Bakit? Mga nobody na gusto isama ka kung nasaan sila. Mga bored na ‘Oo alam naming scripted.’ Pero mas masarap kasi maging talangka. Tolongges gaming too strong,” she wrote.

As for her, she said she remains to be unbothered by the bashing. “Low-key chill lang. Forever unbothered. Mananatiling kalmado.”
